I joined STR in Jan 2020 as Financial Controller.  I am now part of the SLT and enjoy helping to guide the board

In my first 3.5 years at STR, we have grown 49% from £9.6m to £14.4m. During that time, as a team we have opened 2 international offices, implemented a new financial ERP, introduced an online time sheeting solution and successfully completed an MBO.

I rapidly learned; the intricacies of US accounting and taxation which differ state by state, the complications involved when placing contractors across borders into Mexico or Canada, the VAT implications of trading post Brexit, along with many other compliance hurdles.

I strive to encourage efficiencies and improvements across finance and push for automation where appropriate.
