On Friday, May 24th, some of the STR team were treated to a delicious lunch at the esteemed Shanghai 1814 restaurant in Southampton. This wasn’t just any ordinary lunch; it was a celebration honouring the individuals who had gone above and beyond in their roles, demonstrating exceptional dedication and hard work during the first quarter of 2024.
Jake Harris, James Rafter, Emad Akbari, Jamie Chalmers and Neil Dexter all have different roles within the company but were chosen as either employees of the month or quarter this year. To show STR’s appreciation and to recognise their incredible efforts, STR took them out to celebrate in style!
When the team arrived at Shanghai 1814 they were met with wow-factor interiors, dazzling chandeliers and cherry blossom trees hanging over them. The menu featured contemporary Chinese dishes created by a Chef who previously worked at Michelin-starred Hakkasan in London’s Mayfair. The drinks menu was equally exciting with sakes, celebratory fizz and creative cocktails inspired by Chinese legends. It was a rare opportunity for our team members to relax and enjoy each other’s company outside the usual work environment, in a beautiful setting. Everyone had a great time and were definitiely full to the brim by the end of the afternoon.
