At STR, we firmly believe in recognising and celebrating the hard work and dedication of our team. That’s why, our 2023 high performers, were recently treated to an unforgettable trip to New York City.
The adventure began on Wednesday evening as everyone arrived and headed straight to the Monarch Rooftop. Located hundreds of feet above West 35th Street in Herald Square, the Monarch Rooftop offered the group specialty cocktails and unbeatable views of the city skyline. It was a fantastic start to their New York experience.
The next day was packed with excitement. The group started with a thrilling helicopter tour, offering breathtaking aerial views of New York’s iconic landmarks, including the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Following this exhilarating experience, they attended a Yankees game, where everyone soaked up the stadium’s incredible atmosphere. The evening continued with a visit to the 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar, where they enjoyed more spectacular views and delicious drinks.
Friday provided some free time for everyone to explore the city at their own pace. In the afternoon, everyone regrouped at The Edge, a striking observation deck offering yet another stunning view of the city. As the sun set, the team made their way to Buddakan for a delicious last meal. It was the perfect way to cap off an incredible trip.
Everyone had an unforgettable trip to the city that never sleeps – New York! Here’s to our 2023 high achievers and many more unforgettable adventures to come! We look forward to continuing to celebrate and support our exceptional team members as they drive us forward.

Neil Dexter, Associate Director, enthused, “STR went above and beyond in delivering a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us with this trip. New York is such an iconic city, and just walking down the street can feel like walking down a movie set with all of the famous sites to see, but what better way to make us feel like movie stars than by arranging for us to fly around the city by helicopter or eating at high-end restaurants from famous Hollywood movies! I’m truly grateful and privileged to have had the opportunity to go on this trip.”
Gary Dexter, Associate Director, commented, “What a great trip away to New York! It was really well planned from the Helicopter tour around Manhattan, to the roof top bars, watching baseball at the Yankees stadium and the tasting menu at Buddakan. What made the trip even more enjoyable though was the group I shared the experience with, so many laughs and jokes and good times had.”
Callum Jones, Client Services Director, said, “I really enjoyed attending my second high achievers club with STR. NYC is a place I had never been before so it was great to tick another location off the list, we really crammed a lot of activities into the time we were there, and from the helicopter rides to the rooftop bars and the edge it was, all in all, an incredible experience for me – I did things I never would have on a normal trip. Spent it with a great group of people as well! Looking forward to what the next one brings.”
