The STR Group is proud to announce that Make UK has partnered with them in support of The Smallpeice Trust, an educational charity providing young people with everything they need to fuel their passion for engineering. The charity helps to make their big ideas a reality.
The Smallpeice Trust is supported by a wide range of national and international companies, the Armed Forces, Institutions, Livery Companies, educational and other charities, and universities. Other partners include huge engineering and manufacturing related corporations such as Babcock International Group, E.ON, Jaguar Land Rover, Lockheed Martin, National Cyber Security Centre, RAF, Shell, Siemens, and the UK Electronics Skills Foundation.
Make UK is the voice of UK manufacturing, the go-to for industry-leading reports, surveys, events, conferences, and campaigns. Using their extensive industry knowledge they influence policymaking at local, national and European levels, pushing for the policy changes the industry wants to see. As the Make UK Recruitment Advantages Partner, we provide Make UK members with access to the full spectrum of high-quality recruitment services. Our services help members to address the skills shortages within their workforce, and ensure they have the right talent in place at the right time to facilitate continuing innovation, fulfill orders, and drive business growth.
For the first placement made by STR with each Make UK member, a charitable donation will be made to The Smallpeice Trust, meaning that whilst we align incredible talent with innovative companies today, we’re future-proofing the industry by helping to provide educational opportunities for tomorrow’s workforce.
This aligns perfectly with Make UK’s aim to help its members solve the problem of skills shortages in the manufacturing and engineering industry now and in the longer term.
