The STR Group is delighted to announce its new Corporate Partnership with the Portsmouth-based charity, Motiv8, which provides life chances for young people in Hampshire.
Motiv8 is a local charity based in Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham and Gosport, supporting young people and providing opportunities through youth clubs, local projects, one-to-one mentoring, family mentoring and detached youth work.
They deliver over 22 weekly youth hubs and targeted provisions, which support over 200 young people aged 9 – 19 every week. There work is essential, now more than ever, with a huge increase in referrals since pre-pandemic times – up an enormous 263%. The greatest needs for these young people centre around emotional health and wellbeing, isolation, loneliness and barriers to education.
This year, the STR Group and Motiv8 have formed a new Corporate Partnership, which will help both organisations to meet their individual aims with regard to recruitment, engagement, and empowering people to harness their strengths and develop life changing skills and opportunities. Both Motiv8 and STR have shared values around integrity, quality, collaboration and togetherness, aiming to help people realise their full potential.

STR’s energetic workforce has set a target to raise £3,000 during 2023 and, for Wellbeing Week earlier this year, they wasted no time in organising a charity bike ride. Then in March, a lunchtime ‘kitchen quiz’ followed, raising over £300 in total already!
