STR Group is delighted to announce that it is partnering with Motiv8 to participate in the Great South Run, which is taking place on 15th October 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for STR to support a great cause, helping the lives of young people.
Motiv8 is a local charity based in Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham and Gosport, supporting young people and providing opportunities through youth clubs, local projects, one-to-one mentoring, family mentoring and detached youth work.
They deliver over 22 weekly youth hubs and targeted provisions, which support over 200 young people aged 9 – 19 every week. Their work is essential, now more than ever, with a huge increase in referrals since pre-pandemic times – up an enormous 263%. The greatest needs for these young people centre around emotional health and wellbeing, isolation, loneliness and barriers to education.
With STR’s participation in the Great South Run, it can support the charity’s work and make a difference in the lives of young people in Hampshire.
