With an eye on the economy and the continued cost-of-living crisis, the STR Group has shaken up its salary and commission schemes.
Following the cost-of-living payment of £500 made to each employee earlier this year to help combat rising inflation, the Board of Directors decided to carry out a full-scale review of salary bandings across the entire Group. It is particularly timely, as November saw most of us finally put the heating on, despite spiralling energy costs.
As a result, the STR Group made a significant change to its salary bandings across the business, which will see over £250,000 worth of salary increases across a staff of 150 from 1st January 2023.
Brett Stephens, Group Operations Director, confirmed, “At a time when the cost of living is its highest ever, we felt it only right to make sure we were paying our staff fairly and reward them for their continued efforts and hard work. But we didn’t stop there! We also removed thresholds from our commission structures, meaning our staff now get paid on every penny they bill, up to a whopping 30% on 360 perm or contract desks.”
This is a well-deserved early Christmas surprise for the STR Group’s staff across the business.
